Andrew Alton Roach

My nephew is here!!! Andrew Alton Roach is the brand new son of my sister, Heather and her husband Andy. He is quite possibly the cutest baby that I have ever laid eyes on. (They could seriously make some money if they put that kid in modeling!)

Not only is he extremely cute, he's also very well behaved. Bill and I went over to visit and of course I wanted to get a few new born shots of little Drew! This is just photo session number one! I will not be able to hold back around him when I have my camera with me!

These are just a few of my favorites from the day! I'm sure there will be more to come...But of course I had to have Heather take a picture of me and my handsome little nephew!

Waiting on Gracen

Our family has been blessed with two new faces to the family - however, one of those faces has yet to show himself! Little Gracen isn't due until October, but we're all anxious to meet him! Jen is my cousin and her and Rickey are expecting what I'm sure will be an absolutely adorable little boy!

She had her baby shower last weekend and of course I had to bring my camera along to catch a few shots! She wants to have some black and white photos to put up in Gracen's room - so off we went to snap a few! She looks great!

She wanted the black and whites, but I couldn't resist the colors! Here are the same shots with a splash of color!!!

 

OBX

The Outer Banks is such a great vacation spot. I'm extremely glad that my Dad and his family started the tradition of going every year so very long ago. It's a tradition that I know my generation (the grand kids) will keep running for many years to come.

Here are my favorite shots from the trip. Next year we will have to get the WHOLE family together and take a big family shot before we all leave. Maybe we can even get Grandma Elsie out for it?

On the way to the island we always stop for gas JUST before we cross the bridge. This gas stop was particularly interesting due to the fact that there was a man with two wolves on a leash. Yes, you read that correctly... A man with two WOLVES on a LEASH. Pretty hard to believe, I know. Luckily, I took a couple of shots to prove it!

Scooter was the one to spot these two wolves, and he was going crazy to get after them! Thank goodness Jon grabbed him before he jumped  out of the window!

After we calmed Scoot down and headed on towards the island, we just had a hop skip and a jump to go before we got to our beach house! First step: crossing the bridge!

Once we arrived at the island, we headed straight to the beach. I left my camera at the house to fully enjoy the day. The very next morning, I awoke at 5am for the prettiest sunrise my eyes have ever taken in. Click the picture for a link to more pictures from the sunrise! 

One of my favorite things to do at the beach is take Scooter and let him play ball and splash around in the ocean. He absolutely loves it, even though he gets ridiculously filthy - covered with sand inside and out!

When Scooter tuckers out, the boys head into the water to do a little body surfing. The ocean was rough on this day, so I got some pretty hilarious shots of the guys getting whipped up by the ocean!

Scooter did NOT like seeing his Daddy getting beat up  by the waves, so he ran out into the ocean just barking away. It was pretty cute!

On our last full night, there was a pretty intense storm that moved through. Before things got really hairy, I managed to grab a few shots of the sky...

Overall, it was a great trip and I can't wait to go back again next year!
